I took the top picture on Saturday from the Outrigger Hotel during Isabelle's hula performance. It has been raining here quite a bit and everything is super green. We were shocked when we returned from California and saw how green everything got it in only about a week. The second picture is one that I took during the Lei Day celebration in May. You can see how dry Diamond Head usually is. It is so pretty to look out our bedroom window now and see it so lush and green. We hope it stays for a while.
Just for fun; If you look at the beach in the top picture you will see a small structure that looks like the outline of a square on the beach. That is the movie screen where we go to the movies on the beach. All the trees behind the beach are the trees from Kapiolani Park. If you walked straight back from the movie screen, through the park and toward the base of Diamond Head you would run right into our house. The second pic (taken from inside the park) actually shows our neighborhood. Hope that gives everyone a better idea of where we are.
