Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of the kids in Utah. My parents are a little bit handicapped in the digital camera area. They have a really nice camera and a really nice computer; they just haven't figured it out yet. It will happen one day.....maybe.
The kids are having a lot of fun with their Grandparents and cousins. Ty came to Panguitch and spent last weekend with all of them and the kids are spending the weekend with him again this weekend. They have been busy helping Grandma and Grandpa, playing with cousins and even volunteering at the school. Most of all they are enjoying being spoiled by my parents. Kennedy went out to help my dad lay pipe one day on the farm and he said she was much better help than most ranch hands he had ever had. They spent a nice afternoon together.
(I wish I had pictures of that - hint hint mom)
Grandpa and Grandma took them to Cedar to buy some new jeans since I only sent them out there with one pair each. I called Tommy when he was in the dressing room at Cal-Ranch. I asked him who was paying for his jeans, hat and boots that he told me he was buying. He said "I was going to tell Grandpa I would pay but I am $2 short even just to buy the hat Mom. It is $19 and I only have $17 in my wallet." When I asked if Kennedy was buying her jeans there too I was told that her and Grandma had gone to Christensen's. (For all of you non-Southern Utah people this is the closest thing we have to Nordstrom, OK I am exaggerating, it doesn't even compare to Nordstrom....but their prices do.)
Kennedy walked out with a $70 pair of jeans! WOW- times have changed at the Hatch household. I NEVER would have gotten jeans that expensive. But, I guess I never helped my dad lay pipe either.

Your loss is our gain. We love having the kids here with us for a few weeks. We just wish Isabelle was here with them. I tried to get Kennedy to let me buy her some Wrangler's but she insisted on designer jeans instead. Tommy is working pretty hard as well. As long as he can drive sometbing he will do anything. He loves to drive the John Deere lawn mower and wanted to take it to town to mow grandma Shirley's lawn. (It's only 2.5 miles) He will probably do it next week. Kennedy was great help in putting the irrigation pipe together. She worked like a trooper and was every bit a good as anyone I have had help in the past. She went to the ranch with me to change the irrigation water and we had a good discussion on the importance of irrigation in order to grow grass for the livestock. I know this would "kill" Jill but I think she could become a "Country Girl" with very little effort.
Jill how fun for your kids to get to spend some time with G & G. (And a little break for you.) While reading your post I was totally laughing because you can tell our parents are related. My dad use to be so strick and if we get mad at our kids he get mad at us! The technology thing totally cracks me up too! My parents still have dial up so they can't even look at my blog because it takes them too long to load! So sad, but this summer I am going to get some things changed for them.
I love reading your blog. What a great life:)
I was so excited that I got to see Kennedy and Tommy in Panguitch. I was walking into the elementary school and saw Ken running over to me...she has grown up so much...I almost didn't recognize her. She is such a cutie. I think this time that Tommy might have actually recognized me...or maybe not. I'm sure he would if I reminded him about scorpion hunting!
