Our first Hawai'ian Monk Seal sighting

The kids and I tried to go on walks every day while they were on break. One day we were walking around Dimond Head and stopped for a drink at the top of Diamond Head Road. A man came over and told us to look over the edge of the lookout wall. There was this beautiful Hawai'ian Monk Seal sunbathing on the sand. We returned home to get our camera and hiked down the trail to the beach. We sat there for at least an hour watching him. It was a really neat experience for all of us.
