FOOD FOOD FOOD

One thing we all LOVE about Hawai'i is the food! The kids have all been great about trying new things and most of the time they really like what they try. These pictures are some of our favorite island treats. Most of them are of Isabelle because she is the only one that usually lets me photograph her while she is eating....

She is eating shave ice, spam musubi, green tea ice cream and a portugese sausage. The one of Tommy is of him trying a strawberry wrapped in azuki bean paste and mochi; which is a japanese treat made from pounded rice. The picture of Kennedy is her proudly showing the Spam musubi she made during her musubi lesson with "Auntie Sue".

Auntie Sue is a cousin of Dave's that lives here in Honolulu. We first met her and "Auntie Lynn" last summer when we were here with Debbie and Dave. They were very gracious last weekend and let us spend almost all day with them on Saturday. Dave and Gabi were here and the kids all had a blast swimming and playing Wii. Kennedy and Gabi were also very happy to get a cooking lesson from a musubi pro!
